I've been counting the days until he comes back. His mother said back in time for school, but how soon exactly is that? There's only three more weeks until September. It's going to be soon. He's going to come back. And what's the first thing he'll do?

Kiss his girlfriend.

Before he left, she warned him not to "fall for any girls" while he was gone. What about guys? Has it ever occurred to either of them that it's possible? As possible as their own relationship anyway. Heck, I don't even know if our two species are compatible. It's not in any of my dad's books. But I'm willing to bet that if she could do it, so could I.

When he does get back, I'll make him tell me everything that happened to him. It must be so exciting, like visiting a new world. I can't even begin to imagine. The only problem is that if it's that spectalcular, he may not want to come back. Sure he had a good life over here. He was even the most popular boy in school at one point. Probably still is. He has a girlfriend who loves him and a best friend who does also, though he doesn't know it. But can all that really compare to where he's going? What wonders will take him away from us?

But he promised to come back, so he will, if even briefly. Who knows, I might even get up the courage to tell him how I feel. Hey, I overcame that whole "swimming" episode. So maybe.
